My feet have been feeling a lot better lately because of all the flats and tennis shoes, while all my heels have sat collecting dust. I’ve decided another round of purging is due. Here are some of my cutest shoes. Take a look and email me if you’re interested:

It’s been quite a week. I had a major birthday, and also spent long hours at work. I’m really excited to show you my favorite painting of the entire series. I posted it on my Facebook page a week or so ago, and someone is in the process of buying it already. I’m so excited because I’m very proud of it. I love it so much, I can’t even bring myself to give it a title. I’ll be making prints available for it in my Etsy shop this week.

While I was out running around Portland the other day, I spotted a huge herd of urban goats! That’s right–a herd of goats in the middle of the city, munching down on grass. It was so cute, I stood outside and watched them until I got a little sunburnt. This is the best photo I could catch with my cell phone.

Since I was working hard and running around town, my outfits were pretty basic. I’m leaning towards a boyish phase lately. I’ve recently discovered that I’m standing incorrectly on my feet, more on the sides of my feet than the bottoms. I’ve decided to give up heels until I’ve fixed this. The last thing anyone needs is foot trouble.

I hope everyone’s having a great summer, so far. Let me know what you think of my painting!

I’ve been spending a lot of my time lately working on some of the biggest paintings that I’ve ever created. Usually, I stay in the 11″x14″ range, but as you can see, my canvases keep getting bigger and bigger. I really love the big canvases, because it allows me to put in a lot more detail than a small detail. However, I don’t have a scanner capable of scanning such large paintings. Right now, these girls reside in my house, on my wall, but if someone buys them, then they’ll be gone forever, which makes me sad. I’ve found a place that will scan larger pieces, but it’s quite pricey, so we’ll see.
I’m heading back into the corporate world this summer, so that means I’ve been dressing a little more preppy, and a little less doll-like. One way I like to perk up businesswear is to add a man’s tie. I think it throws the outfit off just enough so it isn’t stuffy, and adds a little personality. I’m really digging the girly tomboy look lately, and you’ll start to see that in my outfit posts.

I thought this was a pretty light-hearted image of a girl, but the boy says that it’s kinda scary with no leaves on the tree. It looks like she’s swimming in frigid water. Check it out in my shop.

Check out the items I’m selling from my closet.
These are some of the hardest things that I’ve had to part with. Although I love them dearly, I rarely, if ever, wear them. Instead of taking up space in my closet, I thought I would bite the bullet and let them go.
Most everything is from Anthropologie recently, or within just the past few years. Please email me if you’re interested. Payment is via PayPal. Shipping is whatever it costs to ship your items via USPS Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation.
Here’s what’s for sale!

This little girl lives under quite a haunting tree, but she’s surrounded by happy mushrooms, so all can’t be bad, right?

The image of this little girl had been bouncing around my head for quite some time. I’m pleased to say that she came out better than I’d hoped. Check her out in the shop.

The parade of new girls continues! This young lady has become one with the Earth. Her hair has turned into a river that now feeds the rolling green hills, while her body supports the trees. This is a painting of an original etching that I made during the school year, and I think the painting turned out much better than the etching. She’s so vibrant, she really needed color, not just black and white.
This little lady is available now in the shop. I’ll introduce you to another little girl tomorrow.

Something inside really clicked this Spring with my artwork, and I have been painting like a mad woman for months. All of this painting has consumed my entire life. I’ve spent most of my time painting, working, eating, or sleeping. I have a lot of paintings to show for it, and I’m very proud of all of them. I’m listing them all on Etsy, and I wanted to post them also here on my blog. Since each painting is special to me, I want to show them one at a time.
This first painting is the first new painting that I created. I imagined a girl looking across a long distance, rolling hills, and peaceful colors. I absolutely love the oranges she’s sitting underneath. I think they really bring a lot of color into an otherwise tranquil painting.
I’m excited to share all of my new girls with you (and maybe they’ll find a good home too).

Well, it’s me, of course. With the end of one quarter, and the beginning of a new quarter, I’ve hit an unprecedented creative streak. I’ve been churning out paintings night and day. This productivity, however, has caused me to neglect the blog. I just want to let everyone know that I’m still here, and I will be making a post with new artwork soon. I hope everyone’s doing OK. I’ve really missed talking with everyone.
I leave you with my newest love – my J. Crew Tea Stained Dress. It was a steal at $98, and is the kind of classic retro dress you always want to find at the thrift store, but you never can find (or you find it, and it’s too smelly).
How’s everyone’s Spring going? I promise not to neglect you any longer.
